To enable Crossfade on your iPhone or iPad, go to Settings > Music > Crossfade. Introduced in iOS 17 and iPadOS 17, this feature enables smooth transitions between songs. If you activate this function, you will find that at the end of the current song, the sound disappears and the next song disappears, giving you a richer listening experience.

To enable cross-streaming in Apple Music on your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app and tap Music.

Turn on the switch next to “Crossfade,” then use the slider to adjust the amount of time between the end of the current song and the end of the next song.

How to Enable the Crossfade Feature in Apple Music on Your Android Device

To enable the crossfade feature in Apple Music on Android, open the settings menu in the app and select “Crossfade.“Surprisingly, the Android version of Apple Music already had this feature before it came to iPhone and iPad.

First, open the Apple Music app, tap the three-dot menu icon in the top right corner, and select Settings from the pop-up menu.

Click Cross Feed in the Audio panel.

You can choose between “automatic” and “manual” crossfading. Auto automatically sets the length of the transition based on the length and genre of the currently playing song.If you want to set the same duration for all songs, you can choose the manual option.

If you want to turn off the crossfade function in the future, you can select “Off”.

To enable crossfading on your Mac, you can enable crossfading by going to the Playback tab in Settings. First, launch the Apple Music app on your Mac, select Music from the menu bar, and then select Preferences from the menu that appears.
